A sham or frivolous answer may be stricken on motion and judgment rendered notwithstanding the same as for want of an answer. 2 Mason Minn. St. 1927, § 9259. An answer is frivolous which appears from a bare inspection to be lacking in legal sufficiency and which in any view of the facts pleaded does not present a defense. A sham answer is one which is sufficient on its face but which is false in fact.
